Hello. Does the credit report include everything for example if I have an eviction and owe the property money? What about old utilities? Thank you.

Your credit report is a great starting place, but not everything shows up.

Here's an article about some https://upsolve.org/learn/do-not-remember-creditors-owed-chapter-seven-bankruptcy/. Hope it helps!

Crystal, as part of my rebuilding process, I made sure I signed up for FREE accounts at EACH credit bureau: Experian (which has the "Boost" program). Equifax, and Transunion. You are able to go in and dispute anything that is not correct on these reports and while one bureau may have something listed, another may not. Errors happen. Good luck! :-)

New York residents – we're putting out one last call to see if any Upsolve users based in NY are willing to chat. We're investigating companies like Midland, Portfolio Recovery Associates, and other predatory lenders. If you've been targeted by companies like this, please comment/direct message me. This project is going to help thousands of New Yorkers, so thank you so much for considering being a part of it!

I have been targeted by both companies but I am not in NY.  I am in AR.  Midland is trying to garnish bank account and wages with employer.  When Midland claims my account was sold the account was in good standing.  I made payments to the CC company after the account was allegedly sold according to their claims.  I have a recorded conversation showing a payment I made was in dispute due to the CCC applying my payment to the wrong month.  Any other people you can put me in contact with who are doing the same in my area would be appreciated.

What happens if the fee waiver application is denied? Can you dispute the decision?

Many times the court will provide the filer with dates for making installment payments towards the filing fee if the waiver is denied, but that's not a guarantee.

How do I remove hard inquiry. I have about 12/13 hard inquiries on my credit reports.

Mohammed, great question! There's a few ways to do this, all outlined in this article! https://upsolve.org/learn/remove-hard-inquiries-from-credit-report/

Upsolve Community Member
You can dispute hard inquiries with the credit reporting bureaus. If two years pass, hard inquiries will no longer be reported on the credit score. Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions!

I have a landlord that have put false information on my credit report. I can prove it but he continues to put slander out there. What can I do to get my credit taken care of? This has left me homeless for this entire year because of what he has done

Hm, this seems complicated- one option might be to dispute incorrect information with the credit reporting agency. This article explains how- https://upsolve.org/learn/credit-dispute-letter/

Justina, you could also talk to a tenant rights attorney or a consumer protection attorney. Upsolve is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that started in 2016. Our mission is to help low-income families who cannot afford lawyers file bankruptcy for free, using an online web app. Spun out of Harvard Law School, our team includes lawyers, engineers, and judges. We have world-class funders that include the U.S. government, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and leading foundations. It's one of the greatest civil rights injustices of our time that low-income families can’t access their basic rights when they can’t afford to pay for help. Combining direct services and advocacy, we’re fighting this injustice.
