There are 20 million low-income families in America that could benefit from bankruptcy and we’re setting out to serve the majority of them within the next 5 years.

Who We're Looking For
As the 2nd engineer joining our team, you will be foundational to the impact of the organization and helping us reach all low income Americans with a product that can help them through some of the toughest times of their live. Growth engineering delivers direct impact and also generates revenue that keeps our nonprofit running. In this role you will have the opportunity to be creative, adaptive, and ground breaking for what’s possible in the social impact sector. You will encounter situations that no one at Upsolve has encountered before and will be responsible for persisting through to get a solution shipped. We are looking for team members with the following traits and experience:
You have a strong focus on impact.
You have a willingness to learn whatever it takes to reach impact.
You love data, analytics, and ways to measure features you ship.
You ship incrementally to move fast and can communicate how the team needs to handle product transitions.
You’re scrappy. We have to out-compete heavily funded and publicly traded competitors for organic search traffic.
You can navigate and extend a backend to support your incredible frontend experiences.
You’ve woven complex combinations of services and tools to ensure solid user experiences for users or internal teams.
Given wireframes and our React/Styled Components component library, you can maintain design consistency.

Requirements:
An incredibly high bar for velocity of shipping and the quality of your work.
You’re pragmatic in knowing when to refactor and when to ship.
3+ years’ experience writing production-grade code in a modern programming language.
Professional experience incorporating Google Analytics, Search Console, event based tracking (ex: Amplitude), and SQL into your workflow.
Desired: Professional experience with NodeJS and AWS.
Desired: Appreciation for design and willingness to help advance a higher bar for design
