Position Overview:
Upsolve is looking for a User Researcher to help us build an exceptional understanding of our users’ needs, behaviors, and preferences. As a vital part of our Product team, you will coordinate research initiatives that inform the development of our user-centered products. This role will involve planning, conducting, and understanding user research to ensure our products and services deliver optimal experiences.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about understanding user behavior and has significant experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, user advocates, and Executives, to ensure our user research drives decision-making across the organization.

Employment Type:
This is a 1099 contract position with a minimum commitment of 12 months. We expect near full-time availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage user research studies, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gain insights into user needs and behaviors.
Assess and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to inform product development and decision-making.
Collaborate with the Product team to integrate research findings into the design and development process.
Continuously assess user feedback to improve and iterate on product features and overall user experience.
Document and present research insights to stakeholders in a clear, actionable manner.
Essential Qualifications:
Experience in user research with a strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Excellent empathy and communication skills, with a passion for understanding user perspectives.
Proven ability to advocate for users’ needs and translate research findings into actionable product insights.
Effective collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
Bonus Qualifications (but not required):
Personal familiarity with the hurdles of managing significant debt or firsthand experience as an Upsolve user.
Experience working with mission-centered organizations.
Compensation:
$53 - $58 per hour
